8/8/08 -- FREEPORT, Maine. Flood water rose across the region on Friday, with the worst damage being in Freeport. This section of Desert Road washed away -- taking a large culvert and a water main with it on Friday morning as flood waters rose around the region. The water rose and receded fast around the region - but Freeport was hit harder than many other town with several road closures including Routes 125, 136 and here, at Desert Rd. Photo by Roger S. Duncan.
